WHAT GUIDES OUR WORK
Vision, Mission and Values
VISION
A world where every child can name at least one safe adult.
We want every child to know there is an adult they can turn to for support, encouragement and safety.
MISSION
To equip adults with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to become the safe adult every child deserves, starting with schools.
We achieve this through training, resources and evidence-informed practice that help adults create environments where children can feel safe, understood, connected and able to thrive.
OUR VALUES
How One Safe Adult works and makes decisions
01
Relationships First
We believe meaningful change begins through safe, consistent relationships.
03
Evidence Thoughtfully Applied
We draw on evidence to inform our work while recognising context, complexity and the individuality of every child.
05
Honest, Sustainable Impact
We focus on meaningful and lasting improvement, acknowledge complexity and avoid making claims that the evidence cannot support.
02
Compassion Without Judgement
We approach children and adults with curiosity, empathy and respect while maintaining appropriate boundaries and expectations.
04
Turn Knowledge into Action
We translate understanding into practical responses that adults can use in everyday moments.
FROM FOUNDATION TO PRACTICE
How this fits the Practice Framework
The Vision names the future One Safe Adult is working towards. The Mission defines our role, and the Values guide how the organisation works and makes decisions. The Four Principles shape professional judgement, while the Four Practices translate them into everyday action.
