WHY ONE SAFE ADULT
Not another initiative
Schools already have behaviour policies, attendance strategies, safeguarding procedures, SEND support and wellbeing offers. One Safe Adult does not compete with them. It strengthens the relational conditions that help them work.
It is not another behaviour programme, attendance strategy or trauma course. It is a practical, whole-school approach that helps adults notice more, understand more and respond with greater consistency.
WHY IT MATTERS
Relationships connect the challenges schools are facing.
Attendance, behaviour, inclusion, SEND and staff wellbeing are often approached separately. In practice, they are closely connected.
When children feel noticed, understood and that they belong, they are better able to attend, engage, regulate and learn. When adults feel supported, they are better able to create those conditions consistently.
